Taglines: It arrives.Directed by J. J. Abrams and produced by Steven Spielberg. The film stars Joel Courtney, Elle Fanning, and Kyle Chandler and tells the story of a group of young teenagers who are filming their own Super 8 movie when a train derails, releasing a dangerous presence into their town. The film was shot in Weirton, West Virginia and surrounding areas, masquerading as the fictional town of Lillian, Ohio.Super 8 2011 Full Movie Review:It has been just about commented that Super 8 may be a tribute to the classic films directed or produced by Spielberg , during which the standard life within the suburbs was contrasted with a unprecedented phenomenon which had to be usually faced by the youngsters or teenagers, while the adults ignored the situations until it had been too late. therein aspect, director and screenwriter J.J. Abrams achieved exactly what he proposed to himself, albeit he had to sacrifice any trace of originality or surprise within the film. However, Super 8 kept me very entertained due to its solid direction, excellent performances and well written screenplay. In summary, this film is an exciting juvenile adventure seasoned with wide doses of “Spielbergian” nostalgia.
